Today's Dark Chocolate Chipotle Bacon Bar was made for the Morro Bay House of Jerky—located in the scenic coastal town of Morro Bay, CA—in an area where ocean and beach lovers, college students, wine country visitors and Cowboy country folks mix, work and enjoy life by the sea.The "Chocolate Covered Bacon" sign caught my attention as we were walking by, admiring the view of the ocean and of Morro Rock. Inside was an impressive array of domestic and exotic jerky, including a mushroom (vegetarian) option, including two dark bars with bacon. Sold.
The dark chocolate in this bar (made by by Mama Ganache *(San Luis Obispo, CA) was velvety and tasted quite a bit better than your average dark chocolate bar. Pieces of real bacon added a pleasing savory twist and some soft chewy texture. A well-done implementation of this blend.
