Day #3 of Chocolate and Monkey Theme Week was reserved for a Chocolate Monkey beverage. I uncovered many different recipes for a Chocolate Monkey drink. They all involved banana, chocolate and ice cream in a blender; and most included some liqueur (usually creme de cacao and/or banana).I made my own version of this drink, without any alcohol; I used Dreyer's fun flavors - Nestle Butterfinger ice cream, and just a little grated dark chocolate in this drink, along with fresh bananas and ice. A cool blender drink was the right choice for a hot day. I drank the first serving inside, but moved outside to enjoy the second serving.
