Today was Day #6 of Chocolate and Walnut Theme Week.So far, this week's chocolates have veered toward the brownie and fudge end of the chocolate spectrum. While these are great ways to incorporate walnuts into chocolate, there are countless others -- such as adding bananas to the mix. Today's chocolate of the day, a Banana Victoria Bar from Vosges (Chicago, IL) does just that.
This Vosges bar was created using a 62% cacao dark chocolate base, and add-in ingredients included dried, organic bananas; organic California walnuts; and Grenadian nutmeg. I wasn't able to detect the nutmeg (which I like, and was looking forward to tasting); the small pieces of walnut played second fiddle to slightly chewy micro-bits of dried banana. A fun bar.
