Today was Day #11 of Chocolate Tea and Beverage Theme Weeks.

My daughter supplied me with two unique chocolate sodas. I wrote about the Chocolate Soda yesterday. Today's item was a bit more complicated.

This Lester's Fixin's Artificial Bacon Soda with Chocolate from Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops, LLC (Camarillo, CA) made a fun base for a bacon and salted caramel chocolate milkshake.

Garnish with a slice of bacon and you have, arguably, a meal in a glass, if you're willing to forgo fruit and vegetables for the occasion.

Today was Day #10 of Chocolate Tea and Beverage Theme Weeks.

Rocket Fizz Soda Pop and Candy Shops, LLC (Camarillo, CA) makes a unique line of flavored sodas. I tried their All Natural Chocolate Soda today, and it was better than I thought it would be (no chemical taste and it was made with real cocoa and pure sugar (not corn syrup).

I drank some of this chilled, sweet chocolate beverage over ice. If was fairly refreshing and natural tasting.

I also used this soda to make a version of an egg cream soda.

Modified Chocolate Egg Cream Soda

Those living on the West Coast of the U.S. might have gone their whole lives not knowing what an egg cream soda is.

It's simpler than it sounds; mixing whole milk, chocolate syrup and seltzer water, yields a version of this fountain drink that became popular in the Brooklyn, New York area years ago. In today's case, the sweetened chocolate and fizz water were already present in the Chocolate Soda, so I just added milk.

Most egg cream sodas contain neither egg nor cream, but the foamy top reminded me of a whipped egg white, or an ice cream soda.
