Today's 57% Dark Mylk Chocolate with Coconut (bar) was made by Pure Chocolate Ltd. (St. Ann, Jamaica, West Indies).
Aroma notes for this bar included: chocolate (pleasant, authentic cocoa) and sweet coconut milk. The chocolate flavor notes were more robust than the aroma notes.
The 57% dark chocolate flavor notes included: richer, chocolate-y (drinking chocolate); fairly strong coconut milk; and warm vanilla flavors.
Texture: smooth with a creamy (coconut milk) melt with a very slight astringency in the finish.
I appreciated the short list of local and quality ingredients (enabled via the makers' relationships with local Jamaican cacao farmers), that included both Jamaican cacao beans and Jamaican cocoa butter), and the chocolate making skills that brought these bold, balanced flavors together for us to enjoy.
