Today's D75TAN - Tanzania Dark 75% (bar) was from Peter Beier Chokolade A/S (Helsinger, Danmark). The company offered a range of chocolate confections; single origin and blend bars; and ice cream flavors in their downtown Copenhagen shop,
The cacao variety used to make today's Tanzania dark chocolate: Trinitario cacao beans.
Aroma notes included: dark chocolate, faint vanilla cookie, and subtle, sweet green (botanical, floral).
The texture was very smooth (as were other Peter Beier origin bars featured this week).
Flavor notes included: bold bittersweet dark chocolate (bitter cocoa); very faint, fleeting coconut and botanical; and red fruit.
Maker's Taste Profile (notes): "Intense cocoa, floral, ripe bananas, cherries and lily of the valley."
