Welcome to Day #12 of Chocolate and Almonds Theme Week(s).
Today's Milk Chocolate Almonds were distributed by DSD Merchandisers, Inc. (Livermore, CA) -- and were delivered to my doorstep via Farm Fresh to You (a local CSA box delivery service).
These shiny milk chocolate covered nuts had an aroma with sweet chocolate, caramel (and faint caramel popcorn) notes.
The chocolate covering was smooth, relatively creamy milk chocolate contrasted with crunchy, roasted almond textures at the center.
The somewhat addictive flavor and texture was a blend of uniform blend of sweet milk chocolate and almonds. The nuts helped balance the sweetness.
Ingredients: Milk chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, chocolate liquor, whole milk powder, soy lecithin (an emulsifier), Natural vanilla extract), almonds, tapioca dextrin, confectioners glaze.
