Today's Chocolate Chip Coco-Roons (Chewy Cookie Bites) were from Sejoyia Foods (Louisville, CO).
Certified Gluten-Free, Organic, Paleo, Kosher and Non-GMO Project Verified, these chewy vegan coconut bites were studded with chocolate chips and had a certain freshness and buttery fruitiness about them. The fresh taste was aided by sturdy, sealed (and re-sealable) packaging.
Ground cashews provided a bit of light nuttiness and protein balance to the blend. And small doses of maple syrup, vanilla and sea salt rounded out these bites, making them satisfying and not too sweet (thank you!).
Coconut was the featured flavor (these bites contained coconut, coconut sugar and extra virgin coconut oil); however, the natural coconut flavors were not overwhelming.
