Today was Day #2 of Chocolate and Cranberry Theme Week.

The Cranberry Pecan piece, pictured here, was part of a Fruit and Nut Clusters assortment box, from Hedonist Artisan Chocolates (Rochester, NY).

"Housemade sweet and salty candied pecans with dried cranberries" were nestled into a base of bittersweet 72% cacao dark chocolate.

I couldn't have asked for a better distillation of sugar, salt, chocolate, fresh fruit and crunchy nut flavor and texture into one bite than this.

I also tried the Apricot flavor, which captured the essence of a whole apricot and looked beautiful; however, the Cranberry Pecan won hands down in terms of flavor and texture.
