Today was Day #3 of Crunchy Chocolate Theme Week.It was a hot, hot day in Benicia, CA, where a group of us were sightseeing this weekend.
We took a break in the afternoon -- after watching a glass-blowing demo and before a hike with waterside views -- to enjoy some ice cream at the Double Rainbow Cafe in downtown, historic Benicia. Thank you to the staff there for their friendly, helpful service.
This scoop of Cappuccino Chocolate Crunch ice cream was cold, dense and creamy, and chocolatey, with a hint of a crunch (toffee bits); and it really hit the spot. The ice cream stop helped fuel a mid-afternoon rally, just in time for our hike.
