ChocolateBet: July 8, 2007

Today I ate part of a chocolate sculpture meant to look like the two lovers in Rodin's "The Kiss." This I purchased from Stanford Cantor Arts museum gift store after a nice visit there and lunch outside with a friend. The chocolate "kiss" sculpture is a wonderful concept, and fun to look at. The chocolate itself was a bit firm and dry/waxy(probably to better hold its shape).

Misc: The biggest news-getter in the chocolate sculpture world this past year has probably been an unclothed, and anatomically correct, life-sized Jesus on the cross, made from chocolate. The planned exhibition of this figure stirred lots of controversy. The figure was stored somewhere, and the part I remember was that during this storage period rats or mice might have nibbled on the figure a bit, and it needed to be repaired.
