Today was Day #4 of Chocolate and Hazelnut Theme Week.
Schar's gluten-free Chocolate Hazelnut bars were layered, wafer-style cookies covered in milk chocolate, from Schar (Germany/Lyndhurst, NJ). They were fairly light, crunchy, with a touch of authentic creamy hazelnut flavor; and they made for a sweet snack while hiking today.Gluten-free cookies have come a long way, and these bars would be, I think, almost impossible to duplicate at home. I'm already thinking about how I might use these (crushed or whole) bars in other dessert items.
