Today was Day #4 of Chocolate and Orange Theme Week.
Sometimes great, satisfying chocolates come in small packages.
Today's dark chocolate covered orange slice from Caro Chocolate (Aragon/Zaragoza, Spain) came in a single-serving package. It was full of natural tasting, chewy orange flavor. Caro specializes in fruits and chocolate, and it was a pleasure to enjoy their expertise.
Citrus flavor done right is a balancing act -- not too sweet, and not too sour/tart (but contains some of both); and the texture is chewy without being too soft or tough. Done right the orange flavor and texture blends well with dark chocolate; and it does here.
