Have you been looking for chocolate sweetened with something other than sugar or corn syrup? If so, then I recommend trying a stevia-sweetened chocolate bar from Coco Polo (Highland Park/New Brunswick, NJ).
Available in a half dozen flavors, today I tried Coco Polo's Hazelnut Milk Chocolate (39% cocoa) bar. Gluten and GMO free, this creamy chocolate rectangle was studded with crunchy, dry roasted hazelnut pieces.
However, most notable was not what was present, but rather what was absent -- an aftertaste often found in other "sugar free" chocolates made with artificial sweeteners, sugar substitutes, or sugar alcohols.Good job on the formulation Coco Polo. I didn't miss the sugar buzz one bit. And, thanks to Elana at SweetE Organic (Mill Valley, CA, pictured at right) for carrying these bars.
