At $85.00 (USD) per pound, my expectations for chocolate rise accordingly, and Recchiuti does deliver fine, well-manicured chocolates. The good news: a few small pieces of Sesame Nougat chocolate (with crunchy bits of caramelized sesame seeds and dark chocolate ganache) can be very satisfying.
Recchiuti is on my list of must-visit chocolate shops for my August business trip to the Bay Area. Have you seen his cookbook? He has some wonderful caramel-based recipes.
